I see nothing wrong with him, with his advice or with his website. We always knock the ADA et al for giving terrible advice. Now, here’s someone finally giving the right advice and giving it to LOTS of people and we’re knocking him for a choice of words?

For a very large number of T2s – and that number will continue to GROW as early detection improves – everything he says is completely true. The condition which is T2 diabetes is a sickness which manifests many symptoms including high blood sugar (and “swings”), peripheral neuropathy, kidney damage, retina damage and many others.

It does indeed come from lifestyle and the evidence for that is clear. Yes, you have to have some kind of genetic predisposition – some people can seriously abuse their glucose metabolism their entire lives and not get diabetes – but that is hardly relevant. It is the diet combined with the genetic predisposition which brings it on. Groups with very ketogenic diets (like the traditional Inuit) have zero diabetes. When the same groups switch to the SAD diet, they have just as much diabetes (or more) as the ones they took the diet from. What could be more clear? It IS “lifestyle” – get over it, already. (This is NOT “blame the victim”, we only followed our “experts” into this mess!)

Yes! This disease condition (if caught before near end-stage) can be “cured” as in REVERSED. If all the pathologies disappear and are reversed, why can’t that be called a “cure”. I’m cured. I just corrected the way I was eating and have no disease condition or symptoms whatsoever.

This is NOT snake oil. It is FINALLY the right advice being given and I feel that he should be supported absolutely – along with the few brave others like Dr. Jim Carslon and others.

IMO we should stop dreaming about a magic pill, just eat like our ancestors and get on with life. (Those of you who only discovered it very late or have other complicating factors or “mixed” diabetes may have to use insulin.)
