The International Diabetes Federation (IDF) is the umbrella organization of over 200 national diabetes associations in over 160 countries. ) indicate that the number of people living with diabetes is expected to rise from 366 million in 2011 to 552 million by 2030. The release of these figures follows the September meeting of 193 Heads of State and government officials at the UN High Level Meeting in New York to agree on a Political Declaration on Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) including diabetes. The growth in the diabetic market should be beneficial for the Health-e-Connect (HeC) System, which is the principal product of ALR Technologies ($ALRT).
