Florida Hospital
held a grand opening event March 27 for the Florida Hospital — Sanford-Burnham Translational Research Institute in Orlando.
Currently, the TRI has six clinical studies underway, said Dr. Steven Smith, the scientific director for the institute.The TRI focuses on research in diabetes and metabolic conditions.
“My goal is to cure diabetes,” Smith said.
