JDRF’s Ride for Diabetes Research is one of the most exciting and unique fundraising events in Canada. This energetic team-building volunteer experience brings corporate Canada together in a friendly competition to see who can show the most spirit and raise the most funds for research.

Teams consist of five Riders, with each team member taking a turn riding a stationary bike for seven minutes over the course of 40 minutes. You only need one hour of your day to participate with your team.

On September 27th, 2012, the Toronto Chapter of JDRF will host their annual Ride for Diabetes Research at the Metro Convention Centre.

With your help, JDRF hopes to reach their 2012 Ride fundraising goal of $7.9 million, over 2011’s accomplishment of $7.1 million.

Thanks to your support, JDRF’s pursuit of research excellence to cure, better treat, and prevent type 1 diabetes (T1D) is positively impacting the lives of those living with this disease. The funds you raise mean JDRF can continue funding leading-edge research in Canada and around the world – including 53 clinical trials in 18 countries that are currently being supported, compared to just five in 2001.

You can be a part of the excitement by forming Ride team with your company, or volunteering at the event on the day of. Register today or pledge a Rider at www.jdrf.ca/ride, and join JDRF in their mission to finding a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research.
