The Walton County Sheriff’s Office Ride for a Cure Rodeo was held Saturday, Aug. 20, behind the WCSO Paxton Substation.
“Hundreds of spectators attended this inaugural event,” said Sheriff Michael A. Adkinson Jr. “The rodeo was well received by attendees and effectively brought awareness and funding to juvenile diabetes research.”
The rodeo featured professional bull riders from the Southern Extreme Bull Riding Association. Spectators also enjoyed the calf and steer riding, pee wee bull riding and barrel racing competitions.
Rodeo personnel are calculating the ticket sales and proceeds to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
