Be part of the Stop Diabetes® movement by participating in the Hudson Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes, the signature fundraising walk of the American Diabetes Association. Funds raised through Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes are used to support the Association’s mission: To prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.

Registration is at 9 a.m., walk begins at 10 a.m. on Sept. 10 at Hudson Springs Park, 7095 Stow Road, Hudson.

More than 200 local walkers, including Aaron Thompkins, contestant on NBC’s “The Biggest Loser Season 10,” will be part of the Stop Diabetes movement at Hudson Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes. Participants can meet a local ADA-funded researcher as well. Hudson resident James Orenga, president of Ohio Materials Handling, is the event chair and will also be in attendance.

Walkers can register individually or as a team. Every walker who raises $100 will earn a 2011 Commemorative Step Out T-shirt. Additional thank you gifts are available to those who raise $200 or more.
