JDRF 2012 Walk to Cure Diabetes Kick-off Luncheon:
Spider Man, Wonder Woman, Superman, Batman and Captain America
Super Heroes were everywhere you looked at the Sheet Metal Workers Local 36 Union Hall in downtown St. Louis. The beautiful glass-enhanced building saw almost 200 Family and Corporate Walk team captains coming together for a summery and sensational lunch, motivating information, Walk team supplies AND a chance to meet a real life super hero, Dr. John A. Pieper, President of the St. Louis College of Pharmacy.
Super Heroes are dedicated to protecting the public and that’s why we’re very proud to have Dr Pieper as the Honorary Chair for the 2012 JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes. “Pharmacists are the most accessible health care professionals in each community. They are super heroes to everyone with T1D,” said Dr. Pieper.
JDRF is the leader in funding global research to treat, cure and prevent T1D (type 1 diabetes). Register today for the 2012 JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes – October 7th – Upper Muny Parking Lot – Forest Park.
