The 17th annual Walk to Cure Juvenile Diabetes is set for Saturday, October 6th.
The walk at Rotary Park starts at 9am and lasts until noon.
Organizers hope to have 600 walkers participate and to raise at least $50,000 for research to find a cure for juvenile (Type 1) diabetes and its complications.
A clown, face painting, a bounce house, inflatable games and other activities will be provided for children. A DJ will entertain walkers with lively music. Breakfast snacks will be served prior to the start of walking, and hot dogs, drinks and other refreshments will be served after walking.
Walkers are encouraged to register early on-line at www.jdrf.org.
