PRINCETON –
It was a sea of blue on the Princeton Senior High School track Saturday evening.
More than 50 people braved the chilly temperatures for the Sweet Feet Walk to Cure Diabetes.
Courtney Clark, an anchor at 59 News, lives with this condition. She hosted the Sweet Feet Walk to Cure Diabetes in Princeton, to raise awareness.
“Juvenile diabetics, they don’t have a cure. We’re hoping with events like this, a cure will be in sight,” said Clark.
The money raised at Saturday’s walk will go toward cutting edge clinical trials, testing potentially life-saving treatments.
The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation has contributed more than $1.5 billion to diabetes research. Saturday’s walk raised more than $1,500.
