A team of UK researchers has unveiled that early detection of five amino acids in the blood stream can help to identify early onset of type 2 diabetes.
The team warned that people diagnosed with high level of the three amino acids were almost three to four times at higher risk of getting affected with type 2 diabetes.
For the study, the team thoroughly studied normal blood sugar level of 2,422 healthy adults for 12 years. The result showed that almost 201 people suffered from type 2 diabetes.
Many experts have stated that type 2 diabetes is among the most acute health problem which can result in heart disease, stroke, kidney failure, blindness and amputation.
With over 2.5 million people getting affected with type 2 diabetes, scientist have come to the conclusion that early screening is a must for the disease to get cured with the help of appropriate medical care.
Responding to the study, Researcher Thomas Wang, MD, of Massachusetts General Hospital’s Cardiovascular Research Center, reportedly claimed that the aforementioned study has paved path to understand the changes in the metabolic activity of the body to sure type 2 diabetes.
Though the study has established a possible association, the team believes that more research should be done so that potential medical practices can be introduced in the system to provide better medical care to the diabetic patients.
