LEWISTON, ID – After two years of hard work and diligence, a senior at Lewiston High School is doing all she can to help find a cure for Juvenile Diabetes.

Brittney Keil was diagnosed with Type one Diabetes when she was 13-years-old. In hope of finding a cure, Keil has organized a charity walk to help raise money for Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

“Just seeing that I have more support than I think and that people are more aware of it, that I would assume, because there isn’t very much awareness in the Valley,” said Keil.

The three mile walk begins at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Kiwanis Park. Registration for the event is $5.00 per person and begins at 9 a.m. Participants may also purchase a $12 T-shirt designed by Keil. All event proceeds will go directly to the foundation.
