A kickoff picnic for this year’s Jackson Walk to Cure Diabetes will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday7/26 at The Craft Agency, 2533 Spring Arbor Road.
A free lunch will be catered by Knight’s Steakhouse and Grill, and entertainment will be provided by local musician Steve Tucker.
Also in attendance will be Casey McKay, the 2010 Jackson County Rosequeen. Michigan International Speedway will also have a race car on display, and door prizes will be announced every 15 minutes.
The event is open to all who are interested in participating in this year’s walk, which will be held Sept. 17 at Ella Sharp Park.
