We have been talking about it for a while and here it finally is: a short video which introduces our organization and the team behind the JDCA.
Watch it here:
Featured in the video are Peter, our director of research, Cara, our senior editor, as well as our team of three associate editors – Nick, Drew and myself. We talk briefly about our experience with type 1 diabetes and the main goals that drive the Juvenile Diabetes Cure Alliance. We also explain how and why our organization was started by our founder, Brian G. Kelly.
This is simply a brief video that focuses on some of our main concepts. In future videos we will answer some specific questions about the JDCA and talk about our plans for the future. That is why we want to hear from you – what would you like to know about the JDCA? We would love to address anything that you would like to see expanded upon.
We are determined to keep growing as an organization and expanding our Alliance membership base – the more people we have on board, the closer we will get to a cure. The major diabetes foundations have the talent and the resources to achieve a cure – but it is up to us to make sure to focus research on a Practical Cure.
For the first 500 new members who sign up, an Alliance member will donate $25 to a diabetes charity of the new member’s choice. Simply sign up on our homepage and a follow-up email will be sent asking where you would like your donation sent. Be sure to share with friends and family whose lives have been touched by type 1 diabetes.
