May 25, 2011 by angeldn3

Dear Friend,
I’m writing to ask for your support in a very special cause.
This year, I’ll be taking part in the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes, along with a half-million others nationwide. Our goal: to raise $89 million to fund research for better treatments and a cure for type 1 diabetes and its complications.
I have juvenile diabetes it has taken my eye sight, and gave me End Stage Renal Disease that is being treated by having a Kidney Transplant.
Also, 4 years ago, my daughter Dina, now 22 was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes, it is not carried down from generations as recently thought, it is from infections or viruses that affects the immune system.
Nelson, Dina and I will be walking for a cure for diabetes on October 16, 2011 at Heckscher State Park, in East Islip, NY. If you want to join my team or just come to support us.
I’m asking you to help support my fundraising efforts with a donation. Your tax-deductible gift will help make a difference in the lives of people with type 1 diabetes.
It is faster and easier than ever to donate. Simply click on the link at the bottom of this message to donate online. If you prefer, you can mail your gift check to me at the address listed below. Please make the check out to JDRF and include my name in the “Memo” section.
