Registration for individuals and teams is open for the third annual Houston American Diabetes Association (ADA) Dignity Memorial Tour de Cure, to be held on Sept. 24 in front of the Katy Mills Mall.
The family-friendly event offers ride routes to suit cyclists of all skill levels with 10-, 27-, 47-, 63- and 100-mile rides. Proceeds from the event will help fund research and programs in the Houston area designed to prevent, manage and cure diabetes.
“Tour de Cure is the only cycling event in Texas dedicated to finding a cure for diabetes,” said Lisa McChristian, associate director and Tour de Cure coordinator in Houston.
Registration is $15 per person until June 24, when the fee will be $25 per participant. A special discount code (tour50) provides 50 percent off registration.
All ride routes will start and finish in front of Katy Mills Mall at Champion Nissan at 25550 Kingsland Blvd. in Katy.
