Ron Santo Walk to Cure Diabetes to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation
The 33rd annual Ron Santo Walk took place on Sunday, October 2, 2011 from the Busse Woods. JDRF is the worldwide leader in funding research to cure type 1 diabetes, providing nearly $107 million last year and more than $1.5 billion since its inception. This year was an especially important year for the Walk, as it’s the first year without our friend and champion Ron Santo, who was a tireless advocate for JDRF throughout his life.
