The first annual Sugar for Reindeer event will be coming to Wheeling on Nov. 26 at River City from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The fundraiser is to promote awareness and offer support to children with Type 1 Diabetes and The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Search for a Cure.
Santa Claus will be there to listen to wishes and give each child a magic dust made of glitter, sugar and oats to leave out on Christmas Eve for Santa and his reindeer.
The cost is $8 per session and $4 for each additional child.
Including Santa, the event will include cookie decorating, face painting, tree ornament creations and much more.
All proceeds from the even benefit the JDRF Search for a Cure and local children with Type 1 Diabetes in need of medical supplies.
