(KTNV) — The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation is encouraging everyone to mark this Leap Year by taking a leap. They are taking over the Flightlinez zipline attraction at the Fremont Street Experience on Wednesday, Feb. 29, and will raise funds for the JDRF.

JDRF is trying to find a cure for Type 1 Diabetes, which affects thousands of adults and children in this country. Research is also going to find better treatment options for patients, and vaccines and other therapies that can prevent the disease.

The fundraiser will take place from noon until midnight on Feb. 29. The cost of a zipline ride is $15 before 6 pm and $20 after.
