Today the annual World Diabetes Congress is taking place in Dubai in the UAE and will hopefully pave the way for some important breakthroughs in the diabetes cure mission.  The International Diabetes Federation is focused both on type 1 and type 2 diabetes and will discuss over a four-day conference various topics that will look to bring improvements to the lifestyle of people living with either condition.

The official website features an exclusive interview with Professor Jean Claude Mbanya, President of the IDF.  He talks about a lot of things, including how the rise of diabetes globally is causing new problems and how it is crucial that we adapt to the challenges and help as many people as possible.

The discussion on the growing diabetes epidemic serves to remind how important it is that we do not forget the search for a cure amidst the potential crisis we are facing. It is important that we help as many people as possible and the biggest help we can offer someone is a tangible, Practical Cure that will save them from a life of costly treatment, constant doctor visits and potential complications that threaten all diabetics no matter where they live.

These global affairs should remind us that not everyone has the ability to live a relatively comfortable life and that we need to urge the diabetes foundations and research organizations to focus on a cure now more than ever.   As the problem expands worldwide, so should our combined efforts for a cure.
